Hi Alex. There isn't a Super-8 class scheduled at the moment. Most likely,
one will be held fall quarter (October - December) on saturday mornings 10am
- 1pm. The class lasts for 10 weeks and costs around $400, plus equipment
and supplies. E-mail me in August and I'll be able to tell you more
specifics. Thanks for your interest.

Art Center College of Design in Pasadena offers a super8 filmmaking class. The cost is 975.00 and last for 13 weeks. Within 13 weeks time, students will make 3 shorts using super8. Class starts tommorrow for the Summer semester.

I guess I was a few months off about the starting time for the class...
I think Los Angeles City College still offers Super-8 classes...though you may have to be enrolled in their film program. It might be worth it to check out...definitely cheaper than paying a grand to Art Center in Pasadena...

Here at the Gulf Islands Film and Television School, We have not only a Super8 program, but scratch animation on film, and a month long independent media producer's program where you shoot both film and video. The Super8 program, like most of our programs, is a week-long course in which 70 to 100 hours is devoted to creating a film from start to finish, Which includes hand- processing your own film, and transferring to mini DV and editing on non-linear editing systems. The films created in this program have been highly successful at many National and International Film Fesivals. As a matter of fact, one recently won "Best Film" at the Canadian National Student Film Festival. If you want more info, check out our website at WWW.youthfilms.com or email us at [email protected] our price is $898.90, which includes tuition and room and board.
